Red Velvet is a hybrid strain. You may also see it sold as Red Cake. People who try it most often describe feeling aroused, tingly and uplifted.
Public lab results give a good picture of its strength: 177 flower samples tested between 2021 and 2024 came in at a median of 25% total THC (the middle half ranged from 22.7% to 27.9%). CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That puts it at the strong end of the market, so newer consumers should start low. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.
In lab tests its dominant terpene is limonene, followed by caryophyllene and linalool. Limonene is known for bright citrus-peel freshness, while caryophyllene adds black pepper and warm spice. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.5%. Consumers most often describe the flavour as rose, lavender and flowery.
Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with depression, anxiety and fatigue. The side effects mentioned most are anxiety, dry eyes and dry mouth. These are personal reports, not medical advice.
