Banana OG is a hybrid strain that comes from a cross of OG Kush with Bananas. People who try it most often describe feeling sleepy, hungry and relaxed.
Public lab results give a good picture of its strength: 338 flower samples tested between 2020 and 2024 came in at a median of 24.6% total THC (the middle half ranged from 18.3% to 27.1%). CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That puts it at the strong end of the market, so newer consumers should start low. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.
In lab tests its dominant terpene is limonene, followed by caryophyllene and pinene. Limonene is known for bright citrus-peel freshness, while caryophyllene adds black pepper and warm spice. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.8%. Consumers most often describe the flavour as tree fruit, tropical and sweet.
Beyond feeling sleepy, reviewers also mention feeling euphoric and tingly. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with stress, anxiety and pain. The side effects mentioned most are paranoia, dry mouth and dry eyes. These are personal reports, not medical advice.
Parents: OG Kush and Bananas. Banana OG is also a parent of Banana Punch, Banana Runtz, Banana Puddintain, Modified Bananas, Banana Sundae and Banana Pudding.
