Also, (as of July 6, 2022) DC residents who are at least 21 can now self-certify on their patient application rather than getting a recommendation from their healthcare provider. Residents may only self-certify if they declare that they will only use cannabis for medical purposes and buy from one of DC’s seven licensed dispensaries, such as Kinfolk.
D.C. RESIDENTS
Upon submission of an application, applicants receive a temporary digital registration that allows them to purchase cannabis for up to 30 days while their application is under review.
NON-D.C. RESIDENTS
Non-DC residents may purchase medical cannabis from a licensed retailer in DC by applying for a 30-day temporary registration or presenting their patient registration from a U.S. state or territory extending reciprocity.
