Sour Sunset is a hybrid strain. People who try it most often describe feeling euphoric, uplifted and relaxed.
Public lab results give a good picture of its strength: 364 flower samples tested between 2020 and 2022 came in at a median of 22.1% total THC (the middle half ranged from 19.3% to 24.1%). CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That is in line with most flower on dispensary shelves. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.
In lab tests its dominant terpene is myrcene, followed by caryophyllene and limonene. Myrcene is known for earthy, musky notes with a ripe-fruit edge, while caryophyllene adds black pepper and warm spice. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.3%. Consumers most often describe the flavour as diesel, sweet and spicy/herbal.
Beyond feeling euphoric, reviewers also mention feeling focused and happy. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with stress, depression and pain. The side effects mentioned most are dry eyes, dry mouth and headaches. These are personal reports, not medical advice.
