Master Kush is an indica variety. You may also see it sold as High Rise, Grandmaster Kush, Purple SoCal Master Kush. The effects people mention most are feeling sleepy, hungry and relaxed.
Public lab results give a good picture of its strength: 104 flower samples tested between 2020 and 2024 came in at a median of 18% total THC (the middle half ranged from 15.5% to 27.2%). CBD is typically negligible (under 0.5%). That is in line with most flower on dispensary shelves. Potency varies by grower and batch, so always check the label.
In lab tests its dominant terpene is caryophyllene, followed by limonene and humulene. Caryophyllene is known for black pepper and warm spice, while limonene adds bright citrus-peel freshness. Total terpene content measured a median of 1.2%. Consumers most often describe the flavour as pungent, earthy and spicy/herbal.
Beyond feeling sleepy, reviewers also mention feeling euphoric and tingly. Some consumers say they reach for it when dealing with stress, anxiety and pain. The side effects mentioned most are dry eyes, dry mouth and paranoia. These are personal reports, not medical advice.
Master Kush is also a parent of Lemon Kush, Pineapple Kush, Ayahuasca Purple, Master OG, Master Jedi and Oregon Pineapple.
