A Brief Biography

Jack Herer was a well-known cannabis activist and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes, a book that helped decriminalize the plant. He was born in 1939 and raised in Queens, New York. After serving in the Navy, he moved to California where he became a successful businessman. In the 1980s, he started campaigning for the legalization of cannabis and became an outspoken advocate for the plant.

He died in 2010, but his legacy continues on through his work. If you’re interested in starting your own journey with marijuana, it’s worth checking out one of his many books or documentaries. Or, if you’re a seasoned veteran of the cannabis scene, this is a great opportunity to remember someone who changed our world.

His work will live on forever, so don’t forget about him. It’s always good to look back at what’s been done in order to see what still needs to be done.

Why You Should Know Him

Jack Herer was a cannabis advocate and activist who dedicated his life to fighting for the legalization of the plant. As mentioned, he was also an author, publishing The Emperor Wears No Clothes in 1985, which is considered one of the most influential books on cannabis.

Herer was a driving force in the movement to decriminalize cannabis and his work continues to inspire people today. If you’re interested in learning more about the history of cannabis or are an advocate yourself, then you should definitely check out Jack Herer’s story. His book is a fundamental text that provided historical information about hemp/cannabis cultivation and its association with mankind.

Through his activism as well as writing skills, Jack became one of the leading proponents of cannabis law reform during the 1980s – 1990s era when prohibition was at its height in America. He has been described as a primary driver behind global awareness concerning marijuana’s many uses and benefits through his extensive research into medicinal applications for both humans and animals.

Some of his other publications include The Cultivator’s Handbook (1979), a how-to guide for growing plants indoors; and Hashish! Power Without Narcotics (1973), the first full-length book about the recreational use of cannabis. In 2010, Herer donated $10,000 to help defend medical marijuana patients in Montana against federal interference. It was reported that he died on April 15th, 2010 due to a heart attack.

His Marijuana Legacy

Jack Herer was a legendary cannabis activist. He was an early proponent of hemp legalization and believed that cannabis had the potential to be used as a renewable resource. Herer was also a strong advocate for medical marijuana, helping countless patients access the medicine they need.

His work has inspired generations of cannabis enthusiasts and activists, and his memory continues to live on through the many lives he touched.

Remembering Jack Herer

In honor of Jack Herer, the Hemp Museum is planning to open in Amsterdam. The museum will celebrate his life and work, as well as educate the public about the many uses of hemp.

After an accomplished career writing novels and articles about cannabis, activism, and political campaigning, Jack passed away and his name lives on in a popular strain named after him.

He was known worldwide for popularizing cannabis by working to legalize it. His motto was Free The Weed; he spread that message through a variety of mediums – like books (he published several) or through speeches he made during live conferences or symposiums held across Europe.

As an activist, he co-founded Greenpeace USA with Dr. Patrick Moore but soon quit due to their conflicting views regarding nuclear energy. One of his most famous accomplishments was spearheading the committee for Proposition 19 – which would have legalized marijuana use in California.

Even though they lost in 2010, they won two years later when Californians voted on Prop 64, legalizing recreational pot. Some say he should be recognized as the father of the legal cannabis movement since even though his name may not be so familiar to younger generations who are used to seeing more images of rappers smoking weed than activists advocating for its legalization, it’s likely that without him we might not be where we are today.

He can’t be pigeonholed, says John Entwistle, a professor emeritus of sociology at Ohio State University. Jack had this mantra: If you don’t know history, then you don’t know anything. And he lived by it. For example, if someone didn’t know what Occupy Wall Street was about back in 2011, he would give them a rundown of the ideas behind the protest movement.

Or if someone asked him why something happened at the United Nations or what a GATT treaty was all about, he would talk their ear off until they understood it.

But those qualities that were frustrating to some people also helped make him such an important person within our community. There were few better people to consult when you wanted to get up-to-date information on any topic related to cannabis. People say he knew everything, but really it was just because he cared enough to learn everything.

You couldn’t find someone else who could match his vast knowledge and dedication to the cause of reforming cannabis laws. Jack became a professional advocate and campaigner, founding the non-profit organization known as NORML.

During the 1990s, he became a leading voice in Washington D.C., and throughout the country, for reforming laws prohibiting cannabis. At NORML, he served on the Board of Directors and acted as editor of their publication NORML Reports.

Through his work with NORML, he met Al Gore Jr., who was running for president in 1988. That meeting led to Gore agreeing to help fund TASER International Incorporated, a company founded by Jack’s son Steve.

“That was one of my proudest moments”, said Gore upon hearing of Jack’s death in 2010. Gore was also instrumental in getting a number of cannabis-related bills introduced in Congress. He said,

We need to continue the fight for sensible drug policies. We need to do everything we can to end the unwinnable war on drugs that are driving crime and violence while ruining countless lives.

After publishing nine editions and selling over three million copies, it’s safe to say that his legacy lives on in this iconic text.

Jack Herer Strain

Jack Herer is the namesake of one of the most popular cannabis strains, which is fitting because he was known for his strong advocacy of the plant. The Jack Herer strain is a sativa-dominant hybrid that has won numerous awards over the years.

The strain is known for its strong cerebral effects that can leave users feeling uplifted and motivated. If you’re looking for a strain that will help you get things done, look no further than Jack Herer.

The strain provides an energetic high that’s perfect for people who have a lot to do in a day. It also produces a euphoric headspace and it’s this quality that has led many people to rely on the strain as their go-to mood booster. With that said, it does provide a noticeable body high as well but if you want something more relaxing or sedative, then this might not be the best choice for you.

All in all, it’s easy to see why so many marijuana enthusiasts hail Jack Herer as one of their favorite strains; it brings together all of your favorite qualities into one (relatively) balanced package! It was back in the 1980s when Jack Herer published his book that effectively showed everyone how cannabis could provide countless sustainable benefits to society, making him one of the leading voices advocating for cannabis reform.

He continued on with public speaking engagements throughout North America to spread awareness about hemp. These days, there are countless companies that carry a variety of products made from hemp including clothing, food, paper products, and biofuel.

We may never know how much he helped shape modern culture but thanks to him we now know how beneficial industrial hemp can be.

Medicinal Uses Of Jack Herer Weed

Jack Herer is also quite popular for its medicinal properties. For example, Jack Herer weed can be used to treat conditions like anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and migraines.

The plant is also known to be helpful in stimulating appetite and reducing stress. Many people also use this strain as a sleep aid due to its sedative properties. Beyond these uses, Jack Herer can also be used to help with pain relief, nausea, and muscle spasms.

Jack Herer has THC levels that reach up to 22%, and this strain is known for its high potency. Jack Here provides a strong head high that helps users relax and ease into a state of blissful happiness.

The high from this strain has been described as euphoric with some users even reporting feelings of laughter or giggling when smoking or ingesting it. It’s recommended that patients take their time with this strain as it may take up to an hour before you feel its full effects. When consumed orally (orally) the effects of this strain typically last longer than when smoked or vaporized (vaporized).

Jack Herer is often recommended as an alternative therapy for those who have trouble sleeping at night due to stress or anxiety about work-related issues or other personal matters.

Ways To Consume Jack Herer Cannabis

The high from smoking or vaping Jack Herer is extremely uplifting and cerebral, giving you an uplifted mood while increasing your appetite. You may also notice some slight body effects such as increased blood circulation throughout your body and slight tingling sensations throughout your extremities.

This strain can also help relieve anxiety, depression, and headaches if taken in moderate doses of 2-4 hits on average (though you should always start off with small amounts until you find what works best for your body).

Vaporizing is one of the most popular ways to consume Jack Herer cannabis. It allows you to inhale active compounds without the negative side effects associated with smoking flower. Vaporizing gives you a smoother hit, so it’s perfect for those who want to avoid harsh smoke or coughs during consumption.

There are many different types of vaporizers available on the market today that are designed specifically for cannabis. These devices heat up the herb until it releases its active compounds into the air as a vapor instead of burning them up in ash like traditional combustion methods do. While there are many types of vaporizers available today, they all work by heating up your herb until it releases its active compounds into the air as the user breathes them in.

Smoking a joint with Jack Herer weed in it is another one of the most common ways to consume it. It’s also one of the fastest ways to feel the effects of your cannabis strain because smoking triggers an instant reaction in your body when you inhale smoke directly into your lungs. However, smoking isn’t recommended for everyone because smoking can sometimes lead to lung problems like coughing and shortness of breath.
