Beartooth Medicinal

Growing high-grade medicinal cannabis has been a lifelong passion of mine. Over 30 years ago, I nurtured my first seedlings to fruition and since that time, my interest and excitement for experimenting with this amazing plant have taken me down almost every path cannabis cultivation has to offer.

Constantly looking for the newest, most efficient and effective ways of producing top-shelf products, I have explored many different styles of growing. From the first seedling that I found growing in my backyard, then into various forms of chemically-fed Hydroponics, and eventually even coco coir, I’ve dabbled in them all to find the ultimate end-game.

I’m proud to say I have found the sweet spot. Organic, living soil and raised planters that utilize the No-Till approach has completely changed the way I garden, and in reality, the way I view the role we all take in this environment of ours. By using nothing but truly organic inputs from the soil-building stage all the way through to finished flowering stages—including integrated pest management and the use of beneficial nematodes—I’ve been able to produce some of the most effective and finest tasting cannabis that I’ve ever had the pleasure of putting out there for my clients.

Growing the most effective, terpene-rich, and flavorful plants available is my passion and a Beartooth Medicinal specialty.

My attention to detail doesn’t stop at the grow. Like fine wines, craft beer, and spirits, cannabis benefits greatly from proper processing and curing techniques. Unlike commercial growers who often use trim machines and tend to push their products to market (way) too soon, I hand-trim every flower to remove leaf matter and allow for extended cure-time. While flowers may be ready for consumption within a couple of weeks, the true terpene profiles may take several weeks or even months to fully develop. A longer cure makes a huge difference and you’ll recognize the difference right away.

I could go on and on about the benefits of how I do things here at Beartooth Medicinal but just know this. If you’re interested in having access to some of the finest quality medicinal cannabis products in the area then make a trip down to Red Lodge and check us out! – McG

My plants receive natural inputs from my hand-built super-charged compost using earthworm castings from my vermiculture beds, as well as constant nutritional feedings of kelp, neem, and crustacean meals that have proven to be the key to unlocking all of the potential terpenes and flavinoids.
