“My partner and I had been going to clubs for years and the prices did not seem fair, the markup was huge. Making it hard for a lot of people to be able to afford the meds they need, especially when insurance companies don’t help with any of the costs. So we decided to use our resources and start a true Non-profit for patients. We wanted to help people, compassion for the patients.
We have been open since 2013. Fast forward to January 1st, 2018. Prop 64 starts. The Industry is now run by the state and BCC Board of Cannabis Control. They implemented regulation and taxation. They charge us a 27% excise tax on everything we buy. They charge the farms/growers wholesale tax. Then when the product is sold to the consumer, we, the retail store, have to pay sales tax. At a rate of 8% to the state and 7% to the county we are in. So when a consumer is buying a product in the state of California at a legal dispensary like Green Gold they are paying over 40% tax on there products/medication. This is a little absurd, but there is nothing we can do about it. Even with these obstacles we still do everything we can to provide the best price possible and of course the best customer service around. We are here to help you. We will always be happy to spend the time answering any questions or explain the products/medications.
The best way we could help was to make the meds affordable and available 7 days a week 365 days a year. We are only closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas day. We want to give patients the best meds at the lowest possible cost.
We don’t want patients to have to go without. We put a lot of thought and effort into what would make a great collective. So we made the biggest Bud room around. Over 30 different strains at all times, bigger selection than your average collective. We want to have a more personal experience with each and every patient and their individual needs, never rushing anyone answering each and every question. Feel free to take as long as you need, looking at our huge selection making sure you get what you want, not what the budtender is trying to push. We want every single patient to be comfortable, happy and 100% satisfied. We are here for the patient, not profit and that’s why we are the cheapest in the state.
