The CEO of Patriot Care carries personal experience with medical marijuana helping those he cares about. His mother’s quality of life was steadily decreasing, and the woman who was once active and fond of writing letters to her family was slowly losing her hands to rheumatoid arthritis. A childhood friend suggested that she use cannabis oil as an alternative to her many prescription drugs. The founder was astounded to see his mother slowly regain use of her hands, writing letters again, and best of all not experiencing the adverse side-effects of Western pharmaceuticals. The experience completely reshaped his thinking of medical marijuana as a medicine, and with his team of founders, he began what would become Patriot Care to bring cannabis’ benefits to the numerous patients in need throughout the country. Since originally opening the first dispensary in 2015, they have expanded to a company that helps thousands of patients in different states.
